Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in customer service.
• Preferably one year of receptionist experience in a medical office.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Experience working with an EMR/PM system.
• Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and answer the phone as part of general reception.
• Check-in patients and verify appointment and billing information.
• Schedule and manage patient appointments.
• Collect co-pays and co-insurance.
• Review paperwork for completeness and benefits with patient.
• Explain missed appointment policy and set up FOTO Intake Survey.
• Assist with CBO tasks and medical records requests as needed.
• Scan documents into electronic medical records and monitor plans of care.
