Job summary

Akumin is hiring a Patient Coordinator at our Silverlake facility. This full-time role supports patient care and customer service, ensuring smooth registration, documentation, and scheduling across imaging and oncology services.

You will greet patients, verify insurance, assist with Medical records, and maintain accurate data in electronic systems while upholding HIPAA standards. Strong communication and organization are essential; local travel to multiple sites may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
• CPR Certification required before hire.
• Valid state driver’s license required.
• Ability to work at several locations; local travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures documentation and patient records are prepared and organized.
• Greets and assists patients, customers and visitors in person and over the phone.
• May register patients in various systems and schedule appointments.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorization when needed.
• Provide patient with instructions and assist with post-procedure procedures as applicable.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and stock supplies.
