Job summary

The PCS will greet patients, manage scheduling, handle payments, verify insurance, and support EMR updates—working in a collaborative care team with a patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of healthcare front-office experience.
• Strong reliability and attendance.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Intermediate computer skills (MS Office + EMR).
• Typing speed of 45+ WPM.
• Cultural sensitivity and professionalism with diverse patient populations.
• Additional language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients with professionalism and compassion.
• Manage front-office operations including scheduling, check-out, and updating EMR records.
• Answer multi-line phones following urgent/emergent protocols.
• Conduct daily appointment reminders and outreach.
• Collect and process payments at time of service.
• Verify insurance eligibility and assist with authorizations.
• Resolve patient concerns with empathy and problem-solving.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA and safety protocols.
• Support administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, and supply management.
• Participate in team huddles and contribute to workflow improvements.
