Job summary

Valley Health is seeking a Patient Service Representative to be the first point of contact for patients within the physicians’ network. You will schedule outpatient appointments, collect patient information, and ensure accurate registrations and revenue capture, while delivering excellent service.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, handling calls, processing referrals, and supporting the ambulatory care team with timely information and courteous communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree preferred.
• 1 year of relevant work experience required; Associate's degree may substitute for one year of experience.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Strong computer, customer service and communication skills required; ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Schedule outpatient appointments and referrals following guidelines.
• Greet patients and provide a welcoming front desk experience.
• Register patients with accurate demographic and financial data.
• Process payments and balance cash drawer daily.
