Job summary

Central Ohio Primary Care seeks a friendly receptionist to be the first point of contact for patients and guests. You will greet visitors, complete check-in procedures, verify insurance, collect copays and answer inquiries.

This full-time role in Columbus, OH requires collaboration with clinical staff, accurate data entry, and strict adherence to HIPAA. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm, supporting the office team and patient experience.

Qualifications

Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills; as well as interpersonal relationship building abilities;
Strong organizational and written communication skills;
Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and patient privacy;
Ability to work independently and in a team environment; and lead by example.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and guests, complete check-in procedures, data entry of patient information and insurance verification.
Communicate with clinical staff to ensure patient needs are met and support a positive patient experience.
Collect copays, deductibles and/or outstanding balances; assist with scheduling and referrals as needed.
Answer phone calls and emails from patients and COPC departments; route inquiries appropriately.
Perform clerical tasks and maintain confidentiality of patient data in accordance with HIPAA.
