Job summary

Community Care Physicians’ Albany Family Medicine office is seeking a full-time Patient Support Specialist in Albany, NY to join their team. This position runs 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm.

The ideal candidate will deliver superior customer service in a medical setting and perform front-desk tasks including greeting patients, scheduling, phone calls, and insurance verification. Compensation ranges from $18.00 to $24.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent with additional education desirable.
• Previous clerical experience in a medical practice preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures preferred.
• Ability to use interpersonal skills to establish/maintain cooperative relationships.
• Maintain strictest confidentiality and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients upon arrival.
• Process incoming calls/messages per office policy.
• Schedule patient appointments following protocols.
• Arrange follow-up appointments as directed.
• Obtain patient signatures for waivers per insurance requirements.
• Organize and monitor the provider's daily schedule.
• Maintain timely patient flow.
• Verify insurance and demographics at visits and update as needed.
