Job summary

Community Care Physicians in Ballston, New York, is seeking a part-time Patient Support Technician to handle a variety of secretarial duties and assist physicians with patient care. This 24-hour-per-week role involves greeting patients, scheduling, and processing referrals.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; additional education desirable.
• Minimum of one year work experience.
• Previous clerical experience in a medical practice preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner and complete check-in/check-out.
• Process incoming calls/messages per office policy.
• Schedule patient appointments per access-to-care protocols.
• Schedule follow-up appointments as directed by providers.
• Obtain specimens as directed by the provider.
• Prepare charts for future appointments per office policy.
• Maintain timely patient flow.
