Job summary

Tennessee Cancer Specialists is seeking a Patient Services Coordinator to guide our patients through check-in and check-out, ensuring a positive, consistent experience from the moment they enter our clinics across East Tennessee.

You will provide red carpet customer service, collect copays, schedule appointments, and use EMR systems to document patient information. A high school diploma and at least one year of medical clinic experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate’s degree in a business-related field is a plus.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • At least one year of prior experience in a similar medical clinic position.
  • Must complete required e-learning courses within 90 days of occupying position.
  • Demonstrates adaptability, work commitment and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients during check-in/check-out to ensure a positive, consistent experience.
  • Provide red carpet customer service by asking questions to assess needs and provide information.
  • Collect copays and patient balances and issue receipts.
  • Coordinate appointment scheduling with patients and clinical staff.
  • Navigate EMR systems and chart patient information accurately.
  • Keep the lobby and desk area tidy.
