You will work with providers and staff to support patient check-in, data collection, rooming, and post-discharge follow-up in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma as a Medical Assistant or completion of LVPG Medical Assistant Trainee course.
• Strong multitasking, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in EMR systems, word processing, and Excel.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with empathy and professionalism.
• Customer service orientation and phone etiquette.
• Knowledge of clinical workflows, medical terminology, and basic patient care practices.
• BLS - Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Behaves professionally and empathetically to build trust with patients and visitors.
• Coordinate and perform patient check-in/check-out; verify insurance; collect payments; schedule appointments; handle inquiries; maintain EMR accuracy.
• Maintain logs including quality control and stat cart checks.
• Measure and document patient data (temperature, pulse, oxygen saturation, respirations, BP, height, weight; pediatric measurements as applicable).
• Assist providers in collecting patient information for visits.
• Complete patient rooming and ensure efficient clinic flow; maintain exam rooms and supplies.
• Collect and prepare lab specimens and complete requisitions.
• Administer medications and vaccinations per orders and protocols within scope.
• Support procedures and assist with examinations.
• Follow up with patients within 2-3 days post-discharge.
