Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma as a Medical Assistant or completion of LVPG Medical Assistant Trainee course.
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in EMR systems, word processing, and Excel.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with empathy.
• Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette.
• Knowledge of clinical workflows, medical terminology, and basic patient care practices.
• BLS – American Heart Association within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and coordinate check-in/check-out, verify insurance and collect payments, schedule appointments, and handle inquiries.
• Maintain EMR logs and ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Assist with patient data collection and rooming, support care coordination, and prepare exam rooms and supplies.
• Contribute to lab specimen collection and processing; assist with procedures as directed.
• Provide direct clinical support and help with patient care tasks as assigned.
• Perform follow-up calls to patients 2–3 days after discharge.
