Job summary

You will assist with administrative, clinical, and clerical duties, including taking patient history, scheduling, responding to patient messages, and preparing rooms.

The ideal candidate has a Specialized Diploma as a Medical Assistant, strong EMR and computer skills, and the ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced health care setting.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma as a Medical Assistant.
• Ability to adapt to change in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently or with others.
• Excellent computer skills including EMR, word processing, and Excel.
• American Heart Association BLS certification within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient and equipment for exams and maintains exam rooms.
• Collects medical history and processes medication refills per protocol.
• Collects lab specimens and schedules referrals and procedures.
• Identifies patient risks and communicates with licensed staff.
• Fulfills clerical duties and provides front office support and customer service.
• Collects co-pays, schedules appointments, and updates patient demographics.
• Delivers care with patient-centered approach.
