Qualifications

• Proficiency in EMR systems, word processing, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient check-in/check-out, ensuring accurate registration and information collection.
• Verify insurance eligibility, collect payments (co-pays or self-pay), process referrals, and schedule appointments.
• Maintain electronic medical records (EMR), ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare exam rooms, assist providers with examinations, and ensure proper sanitation.
• Complete patient rooming and implement standard operating procedures to expedite care.
• Collect and prepare lab specimens and complete necessary requisitions.
• Administer medications and vaccinations per provider orders within scope of practice.
• Complete follow-up phone calls to patients within two to three days post-discharge.
