Job summary

Oak Street Health in Richmond, VA is hiring a Welcome Coordinator to be the friendly face of our clinic. You will create an inclusive environment for patients, manage check-in, assist with forms, collect co-pays, and update information in our electronic medical records system.

You will handle scheduling, answer calls, manage faxes, and keep the Welcome and Community Room neat. The role may require occasional travel to other centers in the region, and bilingual language skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Google Suite/Workspace tools.
• Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Language skills beyond English are a plus for serving diverse communities.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and guests
• Conducting visit check-in and assisting patients with required forms
• Collecting co-pays
• Updating patient information in the electronic medical record platform
• Scheduling/rescheduling appointments within the EMR
• Managing phone lines by answering, taking messages, and making outbound calls
• Managing faxes in the electronic fax platform
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the Welcome and Community Room areas
• May be required to float to other centers in the region on an infrequent basis
• Other duties as assigned
