Job summary

• Experience with computer systems, including web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and register patient appointments and provide information for requests.
• Process phone, fax, email, and other communications with accuracy and speed.
• Assist patients with introductions to and explanations of available services and providers.
• Update patients on the status of referrals or authorizations.
• Handle a high volume of calls professionally and route to appropriate resources.
• Follow phone scripts and scheduling criteria to determine appointment type and urgency.
• Communicate preparation instructions for procedures and tests to patients.
