Job summary

Hennepin Healthcare is seeking a Welcome Service representative to greet and assist patients, families, and visitors at the downtown medical center. The role requires excellent customer service, responsiveness, and the ability to work independently or with a team.

Responsibilities include providing information, performing COVID screenings, ensuring PPE usage, and coordinating with hospital staff to meet patient and visitor needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• One year of office customer service experience.
• Heavy telephone and customer interaction experience.
• Six months of experience plus completion of an approved business or technical school program can substitute.

Responsibilities

• Provides accurate information in person or by phone to patients, families, visitors and staff.
• Conducts COVID screening at information desks across the downtown campus.
• Ensures visitors wear proper PPE and PPE is available at entrances.
• Intakes and documents patient/visitor requests accurately and promptly.
• Collaborates with departments to facilitate patient and visitor needs.
