Job summary

Pioneers Medical Center in Colorado seeks a full-time, non-exempt front desk/guest services associate to warmly greet patients and visitors, provide courteous service, and help them navigate the hospital to registration or relevant departments.

You will maintain a clean, welcoming lobby, answer basic questions, and help with directions while protecting patient privacy and following infection control and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, visitors and guests entering the hospital with warmth.
• Provide courteous, professional, and compassionate customer service.
• Assist patients and visitors in navigating the hospital and direct them to the appropriate department, clinic, registration area, or service.
• Answer basic questions and provide general information about hospital locations and services within the scope of the position.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming appearance in the main entryway, lobby, and designated waiting areas.
• Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces at least every two hours and as needed following infection-prevention procedures.
• Monitor entry and waiting areas and address minor housekeeping needs as appropriate.
• Turn on and monitor the lobby fireplace during designated winter months following safety guidelines.
• Maintain a welcoming atmosphere while assisting individuals who may need extra help.
• Escalate concerns to the appropriate supervisor promptly.
• Notify supervisor of spills, hazards, or maintenance issues that may create safety risks.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality in line with hospital policies.
• Follow all hospital policies on infection prevention, safety, emergency response, and customer-service standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or department leadership.
