Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital seeks a Patient Service Specialist to welcome patients, collect co-pays, and prepare visits from arrival to checkout. You will support scheduling, pre-registration, and MyChart enrollment while coordinating with physicians to ensure a smooth checkout process.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED with relevant experience, or an Associate/Bachelor’s degree, and proficiency with Windows applications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 2+ years in patient registration, scheduling, insurance processing or customer service
• Or an Associate’s Degree with 1 year of experience or a Bachelor’s Degree
• Proficiency with PC Windows applications and basic math for processing co-pays

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients, collect co-pays and prepare visits
• Assist with kiosk use, scheduling, pre-registration and MyChart enrollment
• Coordinate with physicians to ensure a smooth checkout and patient flow
• Register patients, verify eligibility, and schedule appointments
• Triage calls, verify insurance details, and maintain accurate patient records
• Educate patients about MyChart and Appointment Pass enrollment
