Community Health Partnership of Illinois (CHP) is looking for a Patient Services Representative to be the first point of contact for patients and families. You will manage check-in/check-out, schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and assist with billing and insurance processes.

The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency with EMR systems, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare office while upholding HIPAA standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college education preferred.
• Experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is advantageous.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and basic office software.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a warm and friendly manner.
• Manage patient check-in and check-out procedures and collect information.
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments and coordinate with providers.
• Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients and staff.
• Handle billing and insurance processing and verify coverage.
• Assist patients with paperwork and explain office policies.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Coordinate referrals and follow-up appointments.
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient care.
