Center Eye Care in MA is seeking a Patient Care & Clinical Coordinator to guide patients from their first contact through their visit and checkout. This role blends front-office coordination, insurance verification, and optometric technician duties to ensure a smooth patient journey.

The ideal candidate is warm, organized, tech-savvy, and comfortable greeting patients at the front desk or assisting clinicians.

Qualifications

• Experience in patient intake and scheduling in a medical or optometry setting.
• Ability to verify and collect insurance information and benefits.
• Comfort with electronic health records and practice management systems.
• Strong communication and confidentiality skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for patients by phone, text, email, and in person.
• Welcome patients and provide a warm, professional check-in experience.
• Maintain accurate demographic, contact, insurance, and other required patient information.
• Coordinate completion of necessary forms and intake information.
• Manage patient checkout and scheduling follow-ups.
• Collect patient payments and explain balances.
• Assist with clinical pretesting and support providers.
• Prepare examination rooms and enter data into the EHR.
• Support smooth transitions between front desk, clinical area, and checkout.
