Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Service Excellence Ambassador to provide outstanding customer service to patients, families, visitors and physicians. You will greet and direct guests, gather information, protect confidentiality, and help coordinate communication between patients and hospital staff.

This role requires a High School diploma, strong communication skills, and at least two years in a consumer-service or advocacy setting.

Qualifications

• High School or GED (Required)
• Two years of experience in a consumer advocacy or service role
• Knowledge of conflict resolution, interpersonal communication, win-win negotiations, medical terminology, diversity training and working in a hospital

Responsibilities

• Giving information to visitors/patients/families regarding location and needs while maintaining confidentiality
• Communicating between patient, family and hospital staff
• Advocating by investigating and expediting admission and other delays
• Resolving problems and escalating when necessary
• Greeting and guiding visitors, assisting with wheelchairs and directions
• Answering multi-line phone and transferring callers to appropriate locations
• Overseeing information desks and lobbies for cleanliness and order
