Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Service Excellence Ambassador to ensure exceptional patient, family, and visitor experiences across our facilities. You will gather and relay information, advocate for patients, and help resolve concerns while maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities include directing visitors, assisting with wheelchairs, answering callers, and supporting lobby and information desk operations. Evening shifts and a focus on courtesy and safety are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Minimum two years of experience in a consumer advocacy or service role.
• Knowledge of conflict resolution, interpersonal communication and hospital terminology.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist visitors, provide directions and escort as needed.
• Communicate between patient, family and hospital staff.
• Advocate by investigating and expediting admissions and delays.
• Resolve problems and escalate when necessary.
• Respond to special needs and ensure requests are met.
• Answer multi-line phone and transfer callers to appropriate patient room or other location.
• Oversee information desks and lobby functions including cleanliness and order of areas.
• Assist with wheelchairs and mobility aids.
