Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Service Excellence Ambassador to provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, visitors and OhioHealth physicians and associates. You will gather information, maintain confidentiality, and facilitate communication between patient, family and hospital staff while acting as a patient advocate to expedite admissions and address delays.

Qualifications

• High School or GED is required.
• Minimum two years of experience in a consumer advocacy or service role.
• Knowledge of conflict resolution and interpersonal communication is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist visitors, families, and patients with information and directions.
• Communicate between patient, family and hospital staff while maintaining confidentiality.
• Act as an advocate by investigating concerns and expediting admissions or other delays.
• Resolve problems and escalate issues when necessary.
• Respond to special needs and ensure they are met.
• Answer multi-line phone calls and transfer to appropriate destinations.
• Oversee information desks and lobby areas to maintain cleanliness and order.
