Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Service Excellence Ambassador to deliver outstanding patient-centered service across front desk, lobby, and information areas. You will gather and relay information about patient location, condition, and progress, while safeguarding confidentiality and supporting families, visitors, and staff.

As an advocate, you will help resolve delays, answer calls, direct people to services, and assist with mobility devices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum two years of experience in a consumer advocacy or service role.
• Knowledge of conflict resolution, interpersonal communication, and diversity training.

Responsibilities

• Giving and collecting information to visitors/families/patients regarding the patient's location, condition and treatment progress while maintaining confidentiality
• Communicating between patient, family and hospital staff
• Advocating by investigating and expediting admission and other delays
• Resolving problems and escalating when necessary
• Responding to special needs and ensuring needs are met
• Greeting, giving directions to and escorting visitors/patients, assisting with wheelchairs
• Answering multi-line phone and transferring callers
• Overseeing functions of information desks and lobbies
