Job summary

OhioHealth, based in Marion, Ohio, seeks a Service Excellence Ambassador to deliver exceptional patient and visitor service. You will greet, guide, and assist patients, families and staff, maintain confidentiality, resolve concerns, and escalate issues as needed.

You’ll support information desks and lobby operations while ensuring a welcoming, safe environment. Day shift role with 14.5 hours weekly, requiring a High School diploma and customer-service experience.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Minimum two years of experience in consumer advocacy or a service role.
• Knowledge of conflict resolution, interpersonal communication, win-win negotiations, medical terminology, diversity training and hospital operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, visitors and staff while maintaining confidentiality.
• Act as patient advocate by investigating concerns and expediting admissions or other delays.
• Greet, give directions, escort visitors, and assist with wheelchairs as needed.
• Answer multi-line phone calls and transfer to appropriate contacts.
• Oversee information desks and lobby areas for cleanliness and order.
• Facilitate communications between patient, family and hospital staff.
• Respond to special needs and escalate issues when necessary.
