Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Patient Liaison to enhance the patient experience across the care continuum. This role focuses on building strong patient relationships, guiding them through care processes, and ensuring access to necessary resources within the Northwestern Medicine system.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and 2 years in healthcare with customer service experience. Preferred Bachelor’s degree and EMR proficiency; opportunity for growth and comprehensive

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
2 years of healthcare experience.
Experience in a customer service role preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage schedules to optimize resources (providers, rooms, equipment).
Coordinate scheduling and template openings/closings; arrange care alternatives.
Communicate with patients and staff to ensure treatment plan adherence.
Assist Practice Manager with data collection on physician productivity and resource utilization.
Facilitate resolution of billing errors and denials; obtain pre-certifications or referrals as needed.
Register patients and schedule or coordinate appointments.
Provide patient education information/materials as needed.
Maintain strong relationships with patients, providers, staff, and external departments.
Answer inquiries related to practice operations.
Conduct follow-ups to ensure compliance with tests and prescriptions.
May perform other duties as assigned.
