Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to learn EMR/practice management systems.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; patient-centered service mindset.
• Ability to work across teams and protect patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and act as primary contact for patient interactions.
• Answer calls and manage emails with professional communication.
• Schedule appointments and optimize provider schedules.
• Handle confirmations, reminders, and no-show reduction efforts.
• Verify insurance eligibility and maintain EMR data accuracy.
• Communicate coverage, benefits, and patient financial responsibilities clearly.
• Prepare patient charts and documentation before visits.
• Record charges, co-pays, and payments in EMR; monitor balances.
• Run reports to ensure billing is up to date.
• Monitor patient flow and adjust schedules to minimize delays.
• Coordinate with clinical and optical teams for smooth transitions.
• Support recall and reactivation outreach for appointments.
• Maintain organized, clean front office and assist as needed by managers.
