Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis is seeking a part-time Patient Relations Specialist for 24 hours per week to serve as an administrative liaison, helping patients and families understand hospital services and resolve concerns.

The role entails receiving and investigating complaints and promoting patient rights in alignment with Mercy's mission. The position requires prior customer service/patient relations experience and a healthcare-related degree.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in healthcare-related field.

Responsibilities

• Act as administrative liaison to patients, families, physicians, coworkers and departments.
• Receive and investigate patient complaints to ensure timely and positive resolutions.
• Promote patient rights and services in line with regulatory standards and Mercy's mission.
• Ensure accurate documentation and follow-up of patient complaints.
• Provide detailed reports to hospital committees and assist with process improvements.
• Collaborate with hospital leadership to develop and monitor patient relations initiatives.
