Job summary

Ascendis Pharma is seeking a dedicated Patient Education and Access Specialist to educate patients and caregivers on disease state, therapy access, and reimbursement options.

You will build long‑term relationships, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and support advocacy initiatives while upholding HIPAA and FDA guidelines. Expect up to 50% travel and a meaningful role in ensuring patient access to therapies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years in direct patient support.
• Clinical/Allied Health licensure preferred.
• Experience explaining disease state, product, and access concepts to consumers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for education on disease state, products, and access.
• Build and maintain relationships with patients and caregivers in person and virtually.
• Develop plans empowering patient advocacy and navigation of resources.
• Educate patients on insurance coverage and therapy access.
• Provide information on affordability resources and reimbursement steps.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and advocate groups; report AEs as needed.
