Job summary

Ascendis Pharma seeks a Patient Access Liaison to educate patients and caregivers on disease states, therapy access, and reimbursement. This field-based role collaborates with care teams to ensure timely access and appropriate treatment initiation.

The PAL travels up to 50% of the time, including overnight and weekend travel to patient homes, congresses, and advocacy events. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years in patient support; clinical licensure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in direct patient support.
• Clinical/Allied Health degree/licensure preferred with pediatrics or related areas.
• Experience in education for patients and caregivers on disease states and access.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and caregivers on disease state, products, and access.
• Guide insurance coverage and reimbursement processes for therapy.
• Develop plans with patients/caregivers and coordinate with care teams.
• Manage relationships and provide education via in-person or virtual visits.
• Collaborate with internal teams and attend patient education events.
