Job summary

Ascendis Pharma is seeking a Patient Access Liaison to educate patients and caregivers on disease state, therapy access, and reimbursement pathways. This field-based role collaborates with internal teams to ensure timely access to therapies and supports patients through insurance navigation and product administration education.

You will build relationships with patients and caregivers, tailor action plans, and provide resources for affordability and coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years in direct patient support.
• Clinical/Allied Health degree/licensure preferred with pediatric/endocrine experience.
• At least 2 years in pharmaceutical industry.
• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for education on disease state and access.
• Develop and maintain relationships with patients and caregivers.
• Assess patient needs to create action plans empowering advocacy.
• Provide individualized education on disease state and product.
• Educate patients on insurance coverage and therapy access.
• Manage long-term relationships and communication plans.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and advocacy groups.
• Report adverse events and product complaints with PV and QA.
• Travel up to 50% including overnight and some weekend travel.
