Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, seeks a Patient Services Lead in Huntingdon, TN to coordinate patient meal service and special requests in the Patient Dining Program. You will train Patient Dining Associates and ensure staffing levels meet service needs in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities include supervising tray assembly, menu selections, and coordination with caregivers and the culinary team to accommodate allergies and dietary preferences.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate and read documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals, and operation and maintenance instructions.
• Aptitude for effectively operating hospital’s ADT system and other computer-based systems that manage patient care records.
• The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and maneuver food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Oversees systems and processes to ensure that the strategic and operational objectives of the Patient Dining Program service are accomplished.
• Supervise Patient Dining Associates and ensure they provide services that include helping patients make menu selections, assemble, and deliver/pick-up their meal trays.
• Work with the caregivers and culinary team to determine menu alternatives for patients with allergies, cultural or religious preferences; or additional selections.
• Interacts with nursing and evaluates daily patient meal selection, tray completion, delivery and retrieval processes.
• Responds to patients' needs at all times and communicates problems or concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Assist dietitians in monitoring patients on special diets or calorie counts.
• Complies with HIPAA and health/sanitation regulations; adheres to HACCP guidelines.
• Complete daily, weekly or monthly reports and lead daily team meetings.
