Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is seeking a Patient Services Supervisor to lead the Food & Nutrition Services Department in a healthcare setting. You will oversee the patient tray line, diet office, and dish room, and coordinate with a team of supervisors to deliver meals during each service period.

The role emphasizes ensuring patient satisfaction, adherence to dietary needs, and collaboration with nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of food service experience.
• Healthcare, restaurant, hotel, or related hospitality experience preferred.
• Understanding of food service operations, quality, sanitation, cost controls, and presentation.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication with patients, staff, leadership and clients.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• ServSafe Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient and customer satisfaction by consistently meeting or exceeding service expectations.
• Assist patients with menu selections and provide appropriate alternatives based on prescribed diets, food allergies, sensitivities, cultural backgrounds, ethnic traditions, and religious preferences.
• Collaborate closely with nursing staff to evaluate patient meal selections, tray accuracy, delivery timeliness, and tray retrieval processes on a daily basis.
• Address and resolve patient concerns or service issues promptly, escalating matters when necessary.
• Support all food service operations related to patient meal assembly and delivery, including quality assurance, sanitation, infection control, and compliance with facility standards.
• Monitor workflow, ensure operational efficiency, and promote a positive team environment.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
