Job summary

SportsMed Physical Therapy, Inc. is seeking a Patient Coordinator to join our growing team. You will be at the front desk, welcoming patients and visitors, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance benefits, and ensuring accurate data entry while supporting the team’s goals.

You will handle patient accounts, maintain confidentiality, and help drive excellent customer service in a fast-paced outpatient setting. Growth opportunities exist as you contribute to a patient-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Front desk experience in physical therapy, medical office, or hospitality with strong customer service
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and visitors in person or by phone
• Schedule/reschedule appointments to optimize provider time and room utilization
• Complete insurance verifications
• File and retrieve patient records to ensure information availability
• Notify provider of patient arrivals and delays to keep appointments on schedule
• Maintain patient accounts by updating personal and financial information
• Record and update patient charges and process third-party claims
• Protect patient confidentiality and rights
• Follow policies and procedures and report needed changes
• Contribute to team effort and support growth and efficiency
