Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is hiring a Welcome Ambassador to warmly greet patients and guests. The role focuses on exceptional customer service, guiding visitors, and keeping wait times communicated when needed. You will check ECC patients in, register them for visits, and help ease nerves in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Strong communication and computer skills are essential. The position also handles hospital-wide phone inquiries, directs calls, and supports other customer service tasks

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• Excellent customer service to patients and guests.
• Clear communication over telephone and in person.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Provide a warm and friendly welcome to patients and guests.
• Update guests on wait times when necessary.
• Check in ECC patients and register them for visits.
• Maintain patient comfort while waiting to be seen.
• Answer hospital-wide phones with proper etiquette and direct calls.
• Assist with other customer service tasks as needed.
