Job summary

Community Care Physicians is seeking a Patient Support Specialist for our Albany Family Medicine office. This full-time role is 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, with a recruitment/retention bonus up to $1,000.

The ideal candidate will deliver superior customer service and have clerical/medical office experience. Responsibilities include greeting patients, handling calls, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and maintaining the provider's daily schedule while ensuring

Qualifications

• Superior customer service skills; medical field preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education desirable.
• Strong computer skills and ability to use office software.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures preferred.
• Ability to establish cooperative relationships with patients, family members, physicians, providers, managers, co-workers and external customers.
• Maintain strictest confidentiality and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients as they arrive.
• Process incoming calls/messages per office policy.
• Schedule appointments and follow-ups per protocol.
• Obtain patient signatures for insurance waivers as required.
• Organize and monitor the daily schedule for providers.
• Maintain timely patient flow and verify insurance details.
• Ensure accurate demographic information is recorded.
