Job summary

Jefferson University Physicians is seeking a Patient Services Associate I to enhance the patient experience at the front desk of an outpatient practice. This role involves verifying insurance, referrals, and demographics, and supporting a smooth patient flow to examination rooms.

The PSA I will handle check-in/out, appointments via EPIC, and professional patient interactions while upholding Jefferson’s standards and HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer Service and/or Patient Facing Healthcare Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interact with co-workers, visitors, and staff in line with Jefferson values.
• Process check in/check out, and scheduling via EPIC.
• Greet patients/visitors professionally in person or by phone.
• Maintain efficient flow of practice and escalate concerns as needed.
• Adhere to HIPAA privacy and security requirements and regulatory standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
