Intermountain Health in Provo, UT is seeking a Patient Service Representative to be the first point of contact for patients. You will handle intake, scheduling, and basic insurance verifications while delivering compassionate, high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Six months of customer service experience.
• Basic computer skills for word processing and data entry.
• Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to protect privacy, confidentiality, and PHI of patients.

Responsabilités

• Provide courteous and professional connections with patients by phone, in person, or via secure messaging.
• Document all calls accurately in the EMR.
• Schedule patient appointments for visits, procedures, tests, referrals, and consultations.
• Register patients by confirming and updating demographics in the registration system.
• Obtain copies of insurance cards and IDs; verify information and COB; handle pre-certification when applicable.
• Assist patients with forms for regulatory and billing needs; educate on financial assistance and collect payments.
• Stay current on role responsibilities and attend meetings to maintain high performance.
