Talentify in Minnesota is seeking a medical receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for patients at the clinics. You will gather demographic and financial information, assist with check‑in and co‑pay collection, and schedule appointments with attention to accuracy and efficiency.

You will verify insurance eligibility, maintain patient records, and coordinate communications between departments to ensure smooth patient flow and revenue integrity.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a formal training program in medical reception, equivalent program, or a customer service program.
• Two years experience as a medical receptionist.
• Two years experience in a customer service position.
• One year experience with data lookup and entry on mainframe or PC systems.
• One year customer service experience via telephone or in-person in the last five years.
• Ability to organize work under pressure.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and interruptions.
• Excellent oral communication skills.
• Excellent written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Check-in patients accurately and professionally.
• Identify and collect co-pays or appropriate fees.
• Use computer-based system to verify patient information.
• Communicate wait times diplomatically and direct patients appropriately.
• Prepare reconciliation reports and provide necessary forms.
• Manage computerized appointment scheduling and Advanced Access adherence.
• Register patients and verify insurance eligibility.
• Coordinate specialty appointments and internal communications.
• Maintain schedule templates and handle provider vacation and other changes.
• Perform clerical duties such as faxing, copying, and records preparation.
• Maintain open communication with the Appointment Center to meet patient and provider needs.
• Coordinate multiple schedules and emergency changes.
• Handle general clinic duties as assigned.
