Responsibilities

• Performs opening and closing procedures.
• Answers and routes multi-line calls regarding billing, appointments, and inquiries.
• Schedules, cancels, or reschedules patient appointments.
• Checks in/out patients; verifies demographics and insurance, updates eligibility, and handles balances.
• Collects payments per billing policies; maintains cash drawer and reconciliations.
• Performs basic patient accounts tasks and understands coding/billing basics.
• Communicates effectively with staff and patients; completes required reports.
• Provides backup coverage for the Patient Services department as needed.
