Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a secretary, receptionist, or customer service in a busy public office is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming calls, pages, and messages with accurate routing.
• Prioritize calls based on urgency and provide excellent customer service to patients, staff, and visitors.
• Monitor alarm systems and relay critical information to appropriate emergency teams.
• Coordinate afterhours communication and maintain up-to-date contact lists and on-call schedules.
• Arrange auxiliary communication services, including interpreters, to support patient needs.
• Support daily telecommunications operations and troubleshoot issues to minimize service disruptions.
• Maintain documentation, logs, and emergency communication records for process improvement.
• Support emergency response efforts as needed, including coordination with Hospital Emergency Incident Command System.
