Job summary

UnityPoint Health is seeking a PRN/As Needed Experience Specialist/Receptionist for Internal Medicine. You will greet patients, support front desk operations, and help ensure a welcoming, efficient visit in a rotating schedule.

Based in the Dubuque, IA area, this role supports patient services with attention to confidentiality and accuracy in the EMR system, while coordinating with clinic staff to optimize the patient experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in front-desk or patient-facing customer service preferred.
• Healthcare setting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Extends a professional welcome to all patients and visitors.
• Manages front desk tasks and registration processes.
• Guides patients to departments and clinics.
• Maintains wait time updates and communicates delays.
• Assists with paperwork and insurance documentation.
• Handles general inquiries with empathy and escalation when needed.
• Supports accurate patient records in the EMR system.
