Job summary

Atrius Health in Boston is seeking a Patient Check-In Representative to greet patients, collect health information and verify demographics and insurance in the Practice Management System. You will help ensure smooth check-ins, collect payments and support front-desk operations across practice locations.

Under general supervision, you’ll perform health screenings, enter referral data, balance cash transactions and assist with billing tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of administrative experience in a business setting with direct patient or customer service delivery.
• Beginner level of computer proficiency.
• Soft skills: customer service, strong communication, attention to detail, multi-tasking, teamwork and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Completes check-in process including health screening and directs patients according to service line standards.
• Verifies and updates demographic and insurance information in the Practice Management System.
• Collects payments, co-pays, and past due balances and posts payments to the patient account.
• Performs daily cash handling and end-of-day reconciliations, including deposits and related forms.
• Ensures referral information is entered and documentation is complete for billing and compliance.
