• Assists in maintaining a safe environment and intervenes appropriately.
• Maintains and promotes the CARE standards with focus on communication, appearance and respect.
• Works collaboratively as a member of the Patient Care Team to ensure smooth operation of the unit.
• Answers and routes unit calls, documents messages, and notifies staff of urgent issues.
• Schedules patient tests and appointments as directed by physician or RN.
• Coordinates discharges, transfers, and admissions to optimize resources.
• Provides back-up coverage for patient transport and escorts discharge patients.
