Mayo Clinic is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) to provide organizational, receptionist, and clerical support to patient care units. The HUC will manage supplies and assist with orders in the electronic health record (EHR), while communicating effectively with patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Must have a health unit coordinator program or comparable experience (preferred).
• Completion of 12 college credits or high school diploma with Nursing Assistant training preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers or equivalent certification will be included if not present.

Responsibilities

• Provide organizational, receptionist and clerical support to patient care units and the health care team.
• Monitor and order supplies and assist with managing orders in the EHR.
• Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and facility staff; support care team communication.
• Serve as a resource to health care team; participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Assist staff with delegated tasks under supervision of a registered nurse.
