Ascension in Indianapolis is seeking staff for the Trauma Neuro ICU. The role is full-time with 3x12 hour day shifts from 7:00AM to 7:30PM, including a rotation every third weekend and holiday.

You will support patient recovery, assist with mobility, and ensure safety and accurate documentation throughout the care journey. Qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent or one year of related experience, and BLS within 30 days of hire.

Qualificações

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
• Required licensure/certification may substitute for education or experience where applicable.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with daily living activities and personal care to support recovery and comfort.
• Aid in movement and positioning to promote safety and mobility and prevent complications.
• Report changes in physical or emotional condition to the nursing team as the first line of observation.
• Document every stage of the patient care journey with accurate records for treatment decisions.
• Maintain room cleanliness and ensure medical equipment is ready for critical care.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Support patient recovery and dignity by assisting with daily living activities and personal care, ensuring they remain comfortable during their stay.
• Facilitate safe patient recovery and mobility by carefully aiding in movement and positioning to prevent complications and promote physical stability.
• Protect patient safety by immediately reporting any changes in physical or emotional condition to the nursing team, acting as a vital first line of observation.
• Document every stage of the patient care journey to maintain high quality, accurate records that the entire medical team relies on for treatment decisions.
• Optimize the healing environment by managing room cleanliness and medical equipment readiness, ensuring a safe and efficient space for critical care.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. *Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
