Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Tech to join a patient-centered care team in a facility setting. You will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, assist with ADLs, perform venipuncture, EKGs, and specimen collection, and document findings in the health record.

You will support patients and families and coordinate with the care team to ensure safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of an approved nursing assistant certification program is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and personal hygiene.
• Perform venipuncture/phlebotomy and collect specimens as directed.
• Take and record vital signs, intake/output, and relevant data in the health record.
• Assist with procedures, tests, and patient care under RN supervision.
• Support with transfer/transport, mobility, and environmental services as needed.
• Prepare patients for provider examinations and rounds on assigned patients.
