Job summary

MedStar Health’s Washington Hospital Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will assist patients with activities of daily living, help with procedures, and support nursing staff with duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Completion of an approved nursing assistant certification program required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with activities of daily living (ADLs) and personal hygiene.
• Collects specimens and performs venipuncture/phlebotomy.
• Obtains EKGs and applies external telemetry monitoring.
• Documents vital signs and other patient data in the health record.
• Assists with transfers, transport, and discharge of patients.
• Maintains patient comfort, privacy, and safety and supports care team.
