Zusammenfassung

MedStar Health in Washington, DC is seeking a dedicated patient care teammate to provide direct patient care under supervision of a Registered Nurse or medical staff. You will assist with ADLs, phlebotomy, IV care, EKGs, and accurate health record documentation.

Responsibilities include patient mobilization, specimen collection, vital signs, 1:1 observation when needed, and teamwork to ensure quality and safety. CNA/EMT certification and CPR are required or in progress.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CNA or EMT/Paramedic certification (or equivalent) required.
• Nursing student (RN program) with clinical rotation or graduate of nursing program.
• CPR certification from AHA or Red Cross within 90 days of hire.

Aufgaben

• Assist with ADLs and personal hygiene, mobility, and repositioning.
• Collect specimens, perform venipuncture, obtain EKGs, and document data.
• Support routine sterile and non-sterile procedures per unit policy.
• Monitor vital signs, intake/output, and report changes to RN.
• Assist with rounds, patient transport, and safety measures.
• Maintain patient comfort, privacy, and dignity; participate in team meetings.
