Job summary

Banner Rehabilitation Hospital in Peoria, AZ, is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) on a Per Diem/PRN schedule with a 12-hour shift (6:00-6:30) and compensation of $25.00 per hour.

This inpatient rehabilitation hospital focuses on compassionate care addressing medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges for individuals with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Requires hospital experience as a patient care technician, nursing assistant or experience in a related field such as a medical assistant or as an actively enrolled nursing student.
• Certified BLS or completion within first 90 days of employment required.

Responsibilities

• Under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Patient Care Technician performs routine tasks in patient care/assistance and documentation of care provided.
• Transports patients to and from various treatment areas when necessary; assists in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Performs services for the patient involving dressing, showering, bathing and oral feeding.
• Answers patient lights and performs services in a timely manner that adds to the physical well-being of the patient. Participates in patient turning/repositioning, performs purposeful hourly rounds.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
