Job summary

Banner Rehabilitation Hospital, in partnership with Select Medical, is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) in Mesa, AZ. This per diem/PRN night shift from 6:00pm to 6:30am offers $25.00 per hour plus opportunities for growth.

You will support nursing staff with routine patient care, documentation, and safety, contributing to exceptional inpatient rehabilitation. Under RN supervision, you’ll assist with transfers, daily living activities, and hourly rounds, while meeting BLS requirements and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Hospital experience as PCT/nursing assistant or related field.
• Certified BLS or complete within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Patient Care Technician performs routine tasks in patient care/assistance and documentation of care provided.
• Transports patients to and from various treatment areas when necessary; assists in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Performs services for the patient involving dressing, showering, bathing and oral feeding.
• Answers patient lights and performs services in a timely manner that adds to the physical well-being of the patient. Participates in patient turning/repositioning, performs purposeful hourly rounds.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Requires hospital experience as a patient care technician, nursing assistant or experience in a related field such as a medical assistant or as an actively enrolled nursing student.
• Certified BLS or completion within first 90 days of employment required.
